Purrs and Pages LLC Waiver – 2026 Annual Entrant Release of Liability

RELEASE OF LIABILITY, COVENANT NOT TO SUE, ASSUMPTION OF THE RISK, AND INDEMNIFICATION

We hope you have a positively wonderful experience at Purrs and pages LLC. By entering our cat room, you agree to the following Release of Liability, Covenant Not to Sue, Assumption of the Risk, and Indemnification:

This waiver is valid for all visits to Purrs and Pages during the 2026 calendar year, beginning January 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2026. By signing below, I acknowledge and agree that this waiver will apply to each and every visit I make to Purrs and Pages LLC during this period, unless a new waiver is required due to changes in operations or as otherwise determined by the business.

In consideration of entering Purrs and Pages LLC, located at 1216 East Silver Springs Blvd Ocala FL 34470, and engaging in various activities therein, I, the undersigned entrant, acknowledge and agree to the following:

ASSUMPTION OF RISK

Entrant acknowledges and agree that interaction with cats can result in injury, including, but not limited to, biting or scratching without warning or provocation. By entering the cat room and executing this “Release of Liability, Covenant Not to Sue, Assumption of the Risk, and Indemnification,” I am knowingly, voluntarily, and willingly assuming all liability and assumption of the risk related to interaction with the cats. This includes, but is not limited to, injuries of any kind, bites, scratches, infections, illness, allergies, ringworm, and physical, emotional and financial injuries and damages, some or all of which may be severe, and death (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Injuries”). I also understand that any Injury or other outcomes may arise from my own or others’ actions, inaction, or negligence, and I nonetheless assume all related risks known and unknown to me. Entrant further acknowledges the inherent risk of exposure to zoonotic illnesses and conditions, including but not limited to bacterial, viral, fungal, parasitic, and allergic reactions associated with interaction with animals and shared public environments

NO GUARANTY OF BEHAVIOR OF CATS

Entrant acknowledges the cats provided for at Purrs and Pages LLC come from all different backgrounds including, but not limited to, previously being homeless, stray, abandoned, abused, neglected and/or having health or behavioral problems. To the best of knowledge of Purrs and Pages LLC, the cats have been provided by an accredited agency and are in good health and temperament; however, this does not in any way guarantee the behavior or health of the cats it provides.

MY TREATMENT OF CATS

Entrant will treat the cats kindly, gently, and with respect, and will appropriately watch for signs of irritation or aggression from the cats.

NO GUARANTY OF MEDICAL CONDITION OF CATS

Entrant acknowledges though Purrs and Pages LLC strive to provide only those cats that have received appropriate and sufficient medical care, it cannot guarantee the health, mental stability, and/or the lack of parasites or any other attribute or condition. No statement or representation made by staff, volunteers, or representatives regarding any cat’s health, temperament, or suitability shall be construed as veterinary or medical advice.

ASSUMPTION OF LIABILITIES FOR INJURIES

Entrant acknowledges if any Injuries occur or are sustained directly or indirectly as a result of entering the cat room or any activity involving or related to animals at Purrs and pages LLC, and such Injuries require medical or other treatment, I agree to be fully liable, legally, financially, or otherwise for any and all costs, expenses, or other burdens incurred as a result of such care.

COVENANT NOT TO SUE

Entrant fully understands the potential for risks and the conditions indicated within and hereby agree that I, on behalf of myself and my heirs, executors, guardians, administrators, legal representatives, successors and assigns, promise not to bring, support, or cause to be brought any claim or action, legal or otherwise against Purrs and Pages LLC, a Florida Limited Liability Company and their respective owners, employees, volunteers, agents, rescue partners, and board members (collectively referred to as the “Released Parties”).

INDEMNIFICATION / WAIVER OF LIABILITY

Entrant agrees to indemnify, release, discharge, and forever hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, losses, expenses, attorneys’ fees, damages, and liabilities, for Injuries, including but not limited to claims of negligence, related to any physical, mental, or psychological impact, illness, allergy or injury and any economic, physical, personal property or emotional loss that I may suffer.

AGE VERIFICATION

I am eighteen (18) years old or older.

FOR ACCOMPANYING MINOR(S)

Entrant acknowledges any guests accompanying the entrant are minors (under the age of 18) [hereinafter referred to as “Minor Guest(s)”], the undersigned entrant agrees to the following: I, the undersigned entrant having authority over the care and well-being of the below listed Minor Guest(s), do hereby indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all Injuries, loss, damages, costs, expenses, actions, claims, suits (in law or in equity), and demands whatsoever (including without limitation reasonable attorneys’ fees incident to any claim, suit, action or proceeding) arising out of or resulting from any demand, claim, suit or cause of action of any kind, which may be brought by or on behalf of the Minor Guest(s) being on the premises. I am assuming and accepting the assumption of risks as described herein on their behalf.

COVID-19 INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT

Entrant acknowledges assumption of all responsibilities to enter Purrs and Pages LLC premises and hold the Released Parties harmless arising from Covid-19. I certify to the best of my knowledge I am not currently at risk of exposing persons to Covid-19 at Purrs and Pages LLC. I agree not to bring any form of legal action against the Released Parties regarding Covid-19.

MEDICAL ATTENTION

Entrant acknowledges If you are scratched or bitten, please report the incident to our staff. Under Florida Public Health procedures,  we must report any substantial injury that occurs. The cat will be quarantined for a period of 10 days until a determination can be made. All of the cats at Purrs and Pages LLC are vaccinated for rabies, however, this is a requirement by the Florida Department of Health.

SURVEILLANCE AND RECORDING CONSETNT

Entrant acknowledges that portions of the premises may be monitored or recorded by video surveillance for safety, security, animal welfare, and operational purposes.

PHOTO AND SOCIAL MEDIA RELEASE

Entrant grants permission for photographs or video captured during visits to be used by Purrs and Pages LLC for promotional, marketing, or social media purposes unless written notice opting out is provided.

VENUE AND GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement shall be governed under the laws of the State of Florida, and any legal action related hereto shall be brought exclusively in Marion County, Florida

SEVERABILITY CLAUSE

If any provision of this Agreement is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
